Prekon is operated by PREKON LTD (registered in England and Wales, company number 16735795), based in Surrey. "We", "us" and "our" refer to this business. Richard Gerard is the sole data controller and can be reached at richard@prekon.co.uk.
When you register interest, we collect your name, email, company, role, chosen area of interest, and any optional message. We also log IP address and timestamp for fraud/abuse protection. For visitors generally, Google Analytics records standard page-view data (anonymised IP, referrer, device class).
To contact you about early access, demos, and build-in-public notes — exactly what you asked for. Legal basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR), given when you tick the box and submit the form. We never use your details for unsolicited marketing or sell them to anyone.
Your registration lives in a Google Firebase Firestore document in a UK/EU data region. Access is limited to Richard. We use Vercel (US) to host the site and Resend (EU) to send notification emails. No other third party sees your data.
We keep register-interest records for as long as you want updates, up to a maximum of 24 months since your last interaction (a form submission, a reply, a demo). After that we delete your record automatically unless you've explicitly asked to stay on the list. Analytics data (GA4) is retained for 14 months per Google's default.
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it — any time. Email richard@prekon.co.uk with the subject "data request" and we'll respond within 7 days. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
